I make porcelain bowls by hand — folded, smoothed, and usually left unglazed.
Their form drifts, edges curl, walls lean. Nothing is quite symmetrical.
Evocative of soft waves of thick cream, each bowl takes 15-20 hours to form, shape, refine and fire — a slow process of coaxing, adjusting, and letting the porcelain decide what it wants to become.
